Gauge provides 100% on-line PET bottle wall thickness
measurements to improve the manufacturing process.
Introduction
PET Wall®
Gauge is a high-speed non-contact device which measures the average
wall thickness, at the desired elevation, of every container which
passes in front of the sensor. It can run up to eight containers per
second, and will average 10 to 30 wall thickness readings on each
container. The system can be configured with multiple sensors, set at
different elevations, to provide more comprehensive quality assurance
data than ever before possible. The gauge can replace manual section
weight determination in some applications, and will provide real-time
feedback for wall thickness control.
